Project Pilots

three thematic areas

Smart Urban Spaces’ pilot projects in the Helsinki metropolitan area range over three different thematic areas: traffic, tourism and daycare. Using Near Field Communication (NFC) enabled services in the urban environment to produce better services has been the overall focus of the different pilots.  Accessible by mobile phone, these services aim to make urban living easier and are embedded in the urban environment. Near field technologies are used to ensure the ease of use of the services.
